Why ACMA blocked Casino Jax
Checked 2 November 2026
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) enforces the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. When an offshore site offers online casino games to people in Australia, ACMA can ask internet providers to block it, and it publishes the blocked addresses each quarter.
The three blocks
| Period | Domain | Source |
|---|---|---|
| January to March 2023 | casinojax.com | ACMA report |
| April to June 2024 | casinojax1.com | ACMA report |
| April to June 2025 | casinojax2.com | ACMA report |
Each new domain was a mirror: the same casino at a fresh address, opened after the last one was blocked.
The formal warnings
In 2023 ACMA issued formal warnings under section 64A of the Act to Hollycorn N.V. and Libergos Limited for offering Casino Jax, Mirax Casino and Wild Fortune Casino to people in Australia. ACMA lists Casino Jax among its 2023 findings on its investigations page. In 2024 it named the same two companies again over Lucky Hunter and John Vegas Casino.
What a block means for a player
A block stops the site loading through Australian internet providers. It does not freeze your account or return your balance. A casino that keeps opening mirror domains after being blocked is telling you how it treats the law.
